PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: LUXON WIRELESS ACQUIRES SPECTRUM RIGHTS; WILL DELIVER NEW WIRELESS BROADBAND SERVICES TO NORTHWEST FLORIDA FORT WALTON BEACH, FL (August 11, 2005) – Luxon Wireless Inc., based in Fort Walton Beach, FL, announced today the successful acquisition of rights to spectrum that will be used to deliver new wireless broadband services throughout Northwest Florida. Through lease relationships with local educational institutions that hold long-term licenses granted by the Federal Communications Commission, Luxon will deploy services to business, residential, government and public safety customers from Tallahassee to Pensacola. Luxon plans to first offer a fixed-location service to businesses, and will ultimately provide professionals and consumers with mobile broadband capabilities. "The relationships we've forged represent a major step towards bringing advanced broadband services to Northwest Florida," said Luxon Chairman & CEO, Brian W. Gortney, II. "We’re looking forward to deploying our network and providing businesses and consumers with a user-oriented broadband service that offers high bandwidth, quality superior to most wired networks, and advanced capabilities not currently available." The fixed-location wireless technology Luxon will deploy is known as WiMAX, and will initially provide connectivity to users at data-rates of up to 20 megabits per second. The company is currently considering several technologies, including 802.16e, to provide its mobile capability. Luxon will offer an array of value-added services to both fixed and mobile users, including services such as Voice-over-IP telephony, content filtering, managed security, virtual private networking, and many others. An important aspect of Luxon's service is the capability to provide advanced distance learning services to educational and corporate customers at low costs. Said Gortney, "We are delighted to be working with local educators to enhance educational services throughout the region. Luxon and its partners are committed to making the educational experience more accessible." Luxon has relationships with public and private educational institutions throughout Northwest Florida. With the completion of its network covering nearly 11,000 square miles, Luxon will be one of the first in the United States to deploy WiMax over such a large area. "We are excited to be on the forefront of this technology revolution," stated Gortney. "It's an exciting time for us as a company, and for the industry," he added. "These new broadband technologies will ultimately provide users with high-speed access to information anywhere, anytime. Luxon's deployment will be a real boon for the region, and should significantly impact its growth and economic development." ### Contact: Brian W. Gortney, II 850.582.2181 bwg@luxonwireless.com
